VIAREGGIO

Viareggio is one of the most famous resorts in the Versilia. It’s famous for the Carnevale di Viareggio, which attracts a million visitors every February, and Liberty-style architecture, and its stunning beaches, boats and yachts. Lots of seaside restaurants, summer nightlife, and shopping here.

As a beautiful seaside resort, Viareggio offers you a 360° experience with the Gold tirrenian beaches and breathtaking panoramic Apuan Alps.

The medieval Lucca, the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Renaissance city of Florence are easy to reach by car or by train.

THE BEACH

As known as "La Perla del Tirreno", Viareggio is the largest beach town in Versilia.

Wide and long, the beach in Versilia goes from Forte dei Marmi to Viareggio and most of it is taken over by deckchairs and umbrellas set up by bathing facilities.

If you prefer nature and wild beach, don't worry! In the South of the city, in Torre del Lago, the beaches get shorter and more narrow. Many of them start having copses as well as stretches of actual woods right behind the beach.

Going few kilometres toward north  from Viareggio there are the famous and beautiful Cinque Terre, characterized by high and rocky cost.

THE APUAN ALPS

Majestic peaks from which you can enjoy an incredible view of the sea, spectacular caves, incredibly green lakes and landscapes that seem almost alpine: the Apuan Alps, only a few kilometres from the Versilian coast, which rise up to Monte Pisanino’s two thousand meters, are a true natural spectacle.
